The Business Centre is located in the range of converted farm barns and buildings that were originally designed to serve an arable and dairy farm
The commercial premises were in agricultural use until being converted after 1995

The Linhay

linhay

Historically, a linhay was an open-fronted storage shed

Converted about 1998 into a spacious office, with attractive brick and flint walls exposed internally

The old dairy

Before the days of milk tankers, the churns full of milk would have been placed on the plinth for collection after milking

The workshop units

Until converted into offices and workshops around 1992, this building seen here in the background) was used to service and repair the farm machinery

It is now divided into three units, used as offices and workshops

The calf pens

calf pens

This range of six identical calf pens is where the baby calves were hand reared in individual pens from one day old until they moved to the freedom of the Followers Unit at about three weeks old
Converted around 2000, these units are now all used as small offices

The followers unit

Followers are the young heifer calves who eventually have calves of their own and join the milking herd

After bringing our dairy herd here in 1984, we used this building to house the "followers"from the age of about three weeks to six months. There was at that time a large covered area in front of this building, where the followers fed and enjoyed fresh air and sunshine
